Aaron has completed 41 Antarctic Expeditions, 2 circumnavigations of Antarctica, and was the first person to climb the highest mountain on the most remote place on earth – the Sub-Antarctic island of Bouvet.
Having just returned from Antarctic on our latest VIP exploreGO group expedition, Aaron shares about his passion for the Great White Continent, climbing Mt Erebus, and journeying from the Falklands to New Zealand via the Phantom coast of West Antarctica. He talks about discovering an unknown Emperor Penguin colony, and provide some tips about where to go in Antarctica. Aaron lives in Queenstown with his family, has led clients on extraordinary adventures on all 7 continents, and is a Trustee on the Central Otago Queenstown Trails Network Trust – building $26m of cycle and walking trails across Central Otago.

Antarctic Heritage Trust is a New Zealand-based charity with a vision of inspiring explorers.
Through its mission to conserve, share and encourage the spirit of exploration the Trust cares for the incredible expedition bases of early Antarctic explorers including, Carsten Borchgrevink, Captain Robert Falcon Scott, Sir Ernest Shackleton and Sir Edmund Hillary.
Francesca discusses her work in creating fully immersive virtual reality experiences of the Antarctic explorer bases, and a podcast she produced called Frozen in Time: Scott’s Antarctic Legacy with an introduction from Sir David Attenborough. She also shares share information on Antarctic Heritage Trust and its conservation work, including stories like finding whisky under Shackleton’s hut and the world’s most famous fruitcake – frozen for over 100 years; and importantly, how the Trust is connecting the next generation through its Inspiring ExplorersTM programme.
