Itinerary

Imagine what it is like to breathe underwater, to hover in a weightless world with marine life of all colours, shapes and sizes surrounding you. Goat Island Dive & Snorkel's 1/2 day Try Dive experience at Goat Island Marine Reserve is safe, fun and will leave you buzzed and keen for more!

We spend time in a classroom before going over the equipment. once we are all confident then we make our way to the reserve. Once we are in the water, we will do some dive skills to get used to the gear. After this, we will explore the reserve.

Diving with New Zealand's friendliest fish is an experience every marine enthusiast must do.

Just a few questions...
- To take part in this experience you MUST be able to swim to a medium level and feel confident in the sea. You need to have experience snorkeling. If you have no previous experience with snorkeling, join our Guided Snorkel Experience first, this will give you the added confidence to participate in Step 2 - the Try Dive Experience!
- Minimum age of 10 years

Stop At:

• Goat Island Marine Reserve, Goat Island Road Leigh, Warkworth, Auckland New Zealand

• Use of SCUBA equipment

• Not wheelchair accessible
• Not recommended for travelers with back problems
• Not recommended for pregnant travelers
• No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
• Not recommended for travelers with asthma unless signed off by a physician.
• Most be able to Pass a medical questionnaire, please see "What to Expect" for link
• Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
• Hand sanitizer available to travelers and staff
• Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas
• Gear/equipment sanitized between use
• Transportation vehicles regularly sanitized
• Guides required to regularly wash hands
• COVID-19 vaccination required for guides
• This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
• This tour/activity will have a maximum of 4 travelers
• Confirmation will be received at time of booking
