What to Expect

These are surf lessons with Lance Maxwell, groups up to 10. Lance surfs Jaws, Mavericks, Nazare, and Pipeline. He is a 5xNCAA D2 All-American swimmer and 4xSouth Carolina State Champion for sprint freestyle. He can also hold his breath for over 5 minutes and a former lifeguard. <br><br>Learn to surf for the first time or improve your skills. Quality surf lessons, surf lesson packages. Lessons and training available for all ages and skill levels. <br>

Itinerary

Surf lesson tailored to your individual skill level and needs.
From beginner to advanced:
- Learn to stand up for the first time
- General water safety
- Learn to catch a wave from the beach without paddling
- Paddling
- Positioning on a surfboard
- Making your way out to the lineup
- Wave selection
- Choosing the right surfboard
- Surf rules and etiquette
- Ocean awareness
- Watch Lance Maxwell or a CPR First Aid & Lifeguard Certified instructor demonstrate
- Read surf reports (tide, wind, swell direction, intervals, etc)
- Q&A with Lance Maxwell

Surf instructor Lance Maxwell is vaccinated against CO-VID19 + CPR First Aid & Lifeguard Certified. He is has surfed Mavericks and big Praia do Norte (Nazare). Also a former 5XAll-American swimmer and 4xSouth Carolina State Champion.
