What to Expect

There is nothing else like this in the Daintree !!<br>This is the only way to see a waterfall in the Daintree....<br>Tour approx 8:30am to 2pm.<br><br>Come with us on a truly wild walk, exploring the ancient rainforest, stunning valleys, majestic mountains, crystal clear streams and pristine beaches of the Daintree. <br><br>We then enjoy a superb gourmet lunch in the rainforest, with choices of Steak, Barramundi Fish, Chicken, Vegan or Vegetarian. <br><br>Followed by a refreshing swim in the glorious natural Dragons Pool.<br><br>Note: This tour is only available for guests who can meet us at Cape Trib. Our similar tour "Amazing Daintree Rainforest Tour Waterfall Hike, Lunch, Swim & Crocodile Cruise" is available for guests staying in Port Douglas or Silky Oaks.<br><br>If you search for "Daintree hike" you will see my six tour options there. 2 are from Port Douglas, and 4 from Cape Trib.<br><br>The Waterfall hike is a somewhat challenging two hour return, requiring reasonable fitness and good balance.

This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Walu Wugirriga Lookout, 164 Cape Tribulation Road, Cow Bay, Queensland 4873 Australia

This spectacular rainforest lookout allows you to see all the way back across the ocean to Port Douglas, Snapper Island and Cape Kimberley beach.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Daintree National Park, Tropical Research Station, Cape Tribulation, Queensland 4873 Australia

It is a full-day tour (approximately 8:00am to 4pm) which includes pickup from your accommodation, anywhere between Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation, and then an informative guided tour through the Daintree rainforest to the Noah Creek Valley where we will enjoy a two hour return hike to the Fossil Falls. This is a lovely pristine waterfall not open to the general public, on a private World Heritage reserve. The Valley is known as one of the most ancient and eco-diverse parts of the Wet Tropics Area. Guests can then swim in a gorgeous natural creek there, searching for turtles, fish and the azure kingfisher.

If the weather is too wet and slippery for our usual waterfall hiking we will enjoy alternative walks where you can continue to learn first hand so much about this ancient ecosystem.

We then indulge in a gourmet lunch in a superb rainforest restaurant, with choices of fish, steak or vegetarian, and other dietary needs catered for. Lunch is included in the price.

Stop At: Thornton Beach, Thornton Beach, Cape Tribulation, Daintree Region, Queensland

To round out the day, we will usually have a stroll on Thornton Beach down to the mouth of Cooper Creek, where Thornton Peak is at its closest visible point, assuming it emerges from the mists !!

For those ice cream addicts, we often visit the Daintree Ice Cream Company on the way home, featuring superb exotic tropical fruit ice creams handmade on this gorgeous farm.

Exclusions

  • Coffee and/or Tea - We usually drop in to the Turtle Rock cafe for a morning tea or coffee to get the day started!
  • Snacks - We also have the option of visiting the Daintree ice cream company if you are returning with us south of the Noah Valley, where you can purchase an exotic fruit ice cream in the rainforest.
