What to Expect

This is a totally unique and very special private offering from Out West Adventure Tours! 9 incredible days of adventure! 4 person minimum, Estancia Río Foyel is located in the middle of the Andean Patagonian Mountain Range, in a natural and fantastic setting two hours from the city of Bariloche. Estancia Rio<br>Foyel is a totally private 50,000 acre area of Backcountry, Horse Backcountry, and a Heli-Skiing Lodge with all the right Argentine hospitality and flair! We get to enjoy the magnificent private lodge as a basecamp for day trips and optional heli ski trips, or for departure and return trips to the authentic Patagonian Haute Route which is a hut system where we can travel from hut to hut enjoying the different valleys and views. The refuges are completely equipped for overnight stays, with full service that includes all meals and of course, delicious Argentine wine!! We respectfully request 60 days prior booking in order to reserve all accommodations and activities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day in Bariloche Argentina

Stop At: San Carlos de Bariloche, San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Rio Negro, Patagonia
Located in the southern region of South America, Patagonia is home to the famed Andes Mountains.
Skiing in Patagonia. It sounds so exotic, so much more daring than “We’re off to Sun Valley or Park City”....
As for skiing and snowboarding in Patagonia, what makes this area such a great option? Well, the weather lends itself to pretty awesome snowfalls, and the dry climate creates some of the best powder snow too! The Andes are vast, beautiful, volcanic, and rugged! The best time of year for this is adventure is July-October which is Argentina’s Winter season! This 9 day private tour IS customizable. We require 4 person minimum and 60 days prior reservation in order to make all arrangements.

Day 2: Skiing the Argentine Andes

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
An incredible day of resort skiing at Cerro Cathedral Alta Patagonia, Argentina’s biggest ski resort near Bariloche Argentina!!
Duration: 8 hours

Accommodation included: Overnight again at The Arelauquen Lodge! Double accommodations, all meals included at this private lodge.

Day 3: 4x4 Adventure and Snowmobiling

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
4x4 Adventure to our back country lodge Estancia Rio Foyel. Estanza Río Foyel is located in the middle of the Andean Patagonian Mountain Range, in a natural and fantastic setting two hours from the city of Bariloche. Estanza Rio
Foyel is a totally private 50,000 acre area of Backcountry, Horse Backcountry, and a Heli-Skiing Lodge with all the right Argentine hospitality and flair! From Estanza Rio Foyel we have the option to use this magnificent lodge as a basecamp for day trips as well as a Heli-Ski base. Or travel the authentic Patagonia Haute Route, a spectacular hut system where we can travel from hut to hut enjoying the different valleys and views. The Refuges are completely equipped for overnight stays, with full service that includes all meals. This allows us to move freely. This afternoon we can explore the private backcountry playground on snowmobiles! Enjoy a beautiful dinner with some exceptional Argentine wine!!

Day 4: Horseback Trek and Skinning

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
"PATAGONIAN HAUTE ROUTE" ​Horseback backcountry ski tour! We let the horses take us up the mountain as far as they can go and then we skin on!

Accommodation included: Overnight at the Refugio Alto Foyel! Bunk style accommodations at these comfortable Reugios. All meals included.

Day 5: Day 2 of Trek deeper into the Andes!

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
2nd day of our ​PATAGONIAN HAUTE ROUTE​ Trek, ever climbing deeper deeper into the Andes! We are on our way to Refugio de las Lagunas!

Day 6: Backcountry skiing through the Patagonian Valley!!

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
Ski​ ​back to Estanza Rio Foyel. What we gained in altitude in the last 2 days we get to ski back though some exquisite Patagonia Valleys back to a point where we meet up with our gaucho and mount the horses for the trek back to the Estancia!

Day 7: Skiing and Spectacular Assado Luncheon

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
Right in front of the Estancia we are ready for a gorgeous morning and enjoying some of the most beautiful mountains in the Andes. We head out and then return to the Estancia for a fabulous “Assado“ spectacular lunch and back out into the Patagonia peaks and Valleys for the afternoon! This is couloir paradise!! (Heli skiing is an optional possibility)

Day 8: Another precious day Heli skiing or, skiing or snowmobiling!!

Stop At: Patagonia, Patagonia
Day 8 is a beautiful repeat of day 7, 2nd day of Heli skiing!​ Today the heli takes us deeper into the Andes, way past and beyond the 50,000 private acres of mountain the Esancia Rio Foyel has to offer! From gentle to hard-core and all stops in-between, the region offers up a diversity of terrain seldom found anywhere else: tree skiing, bowls, steeps, chutes and Couloirs! 8th night at Estancia Rio Foyel​ and a farewell party with our Argentine Family we got to know so well over the last 8 days!

Day 9: Adios Patagonia

Stop At: San Carlos de Bariloche, San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Rio Negro, Patagonia
● Day 9:​ ​Adios Patagonia​! We miss you already! We drive you back to Bariloche Airport and a good bye until we meet again!!
